Historical Maria Theresa tolar coins have up to 150 different variants and were minted at different mints in Günzburg, Vienna, Hall, Karlsburg, Kremnica, Prague, Milan and Venice.

The coins on offer are new mints and all coins are stamped with the same mint year of 1780, despite being minted at different times up to the present day. New mints are classified as investment coins such as the Philharmonic, Maple Leaf or Australian Kangaroo and combine the beauty of a historical coin with the value of silver. Not suitable as collector coins, but rather as a perfect crisis currency or pure silver investment.

The reverse of the coin depicts the profile of Empress Maria Theresa wearing a widow's veil. On the lower edge is the mark "S·F·", which represents the initials of the mint masters Schöbl und Faby. Around are the Latin abbreviations of the inscriptions "M·THERESIA·D·G·" and "R·IMP·HU·BO·REG·" (Maria Theresia, Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperatrix, Hungariae Bohemiaeque Regina) in Czech Maria Theresa, by the grace of God, Empress of Rome , Queen of Hungary and Bohemia.

The obverse of the coin bears the coat of arms of the Habsburg Monarchy: a black triple-crowned double-headed eagle (2 archducal and 1 imperial crowns). In the middle there is a shield with the symbols of territorial units. The Latin abbreviations of the inscriptions around "ARCHID·AVST·DUX·" and "BURG·CO·TYR·1780·X" Archidux Austriae, Dux Burgundiae, Comitissa Tyrolis 1780 X in Czech means Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy, Countess of Tyrol 1780. Letter X next to the year of mintage, it is sometimes referred to as a cross and indicates that the coin was struck according to the 1753 coinage convention.

The tolar weighs 28.07g and the proportion of pure silver is 23.39g. The purity of the coin is therefore 833/1000 and the other additives ensure higher hardness and durability. The diameter of the coin is 39.5 mm.
